it's okay, but it's too much

it's okay to adapt and change to suit what has been said
but it's too much to be kind to what is present, and what lies ahead
it's okay to face problems with patience and understanding
but it's too much to let go and forgive the lack of character without an unending, vengeful punishment
it's okay to not discuss sensitive issues
but it's too much to be cordial, let alone emotional about outstanding things done
it's okay to recall, find and embrace
but it's too much to simply trust, remember or even ask when most certainly the coming is running
it's okay to endure months, even years of anxious waiting, and as if without fail reward the achievement
but it's too much to record the fact that it has been done in lesser times
it's okay to spend any amount of money, or time on a given object, subject, project
but it's too much to accept if offered at a mere fraction of the cost
it's okay to stay silent for days
but it's too much to always find nice things to say
it's okay to make plans that excludes
but it's too much to share the knowledge of such plans in sincerity
